About the role
TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Start or check peripheral IVs
- Access and assess infusaports
- Administer medications
- Maintain and monitor vital signs
- Suction patients
- Insert Foley catheters
- Help patients with personal needs
- Inform technologists or radiologists of any unusual patient needs
- Perform specialized nursing duties, such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
- Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters
- Stand and walk for long periods of time
- Bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Lift up to 20 pounds
- May face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases
Requirements
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- One year of recent acute care experience
Qualifications
- Experience and skill in caring for patients in a diagnostic environment
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Knowledge of specialized nursing duties and procedures

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
The start date is October 19, 2026, and the duration is 13 weeks. Shifts are 8 hours, days.
