Travel Nurse RN - Radiology - $2,508 per week

About the role

We're looking for Radiation Therapists for an immediate travel opening in San Angelo, TX. The right Radiation Therapist should have at least one year of experience. As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer radiation treatments as prescribed by a radiation oncologist, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accuracy throughout the therapy process.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X‑rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (T) National Certification
• At least one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist (some notes indicate two years may be required)
• State licensure may be required
• Ability to stand for long periods, work precisely with complex equipment, and provide compassionate care in emotionally sensitive situations

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours, days; 40 hours per week; 13‑week travel assignment.
