Travel Nurse RN - Psychiatric

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients with emotional disturbances or mental illnesses in a Behavioral Health setting.
• Perform intake assessments, observe and report behavioral changes, document patient information, develop and implement care plans, collaborate with psychiatrists and staff, administer medications, maintain a safe environment, and complete administrative tasks such as documentation and recordkeeping.
• Conduct assessments, monitor and report patient progress, assist with treatment planning, administer medications, ensure safety, and maintain accurate records.

This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional capable of handling unpredictable situations in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1-2 years recent psychiatric nursing experience
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• Additional certifications as required
• Excellent coping and stress management skills
• Ability to relate to diverse populations
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
