Travel Nurse RN - Preoperative - $1,880 per week

Pre‑Op Registered Nurse in Chattanooga, TN. This position entails preparing surgical patients for procedures and providing phase 2 recovery in a busy hospital unit. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team utilizing advanced equipment and technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical patients for procedures (IV starts, moderate sedation, nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, Swan‑Ganz catheters)
• Provide phase 2 recovery care
• Work within unit‑specific policies and guidelines
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient readiness

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in pre‑op/holding areas or surgical recovery
• Experience with IV starts, moderate sedation, nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, Swan‑Ganz catheters
• Ability to work within unit‑specific policies and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced procedures performed on the unit, such as nerve blocks or arterial lines

Schedule

• 36 hours per week (minimum 36 hours)
• Shift: 12‑hour days
• Typical schedules: 3‑12 hour shifts or 4‑10 hour shifts
• Shift start times generally between 5:30 am and 7:00 am
