Travel Nurse RN - Preoperative - $1,732 per week

Location: Nashville, Tennessee. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 10‑hour days, 40 hours per week. Employment type: Travel.

About the role

We're looking for Pre‑Op RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As a Pre‑Op Travel Nurse you will administer pre‑surgery medicine when needed, evaluate admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and follow pre‑operation policies and procedures. You will coordinate nursing care, collect and analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses, identify expected outcomes, and develop a plan of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• BLS certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
