MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Post Partum assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. Specialty: Post Partum. Discipline: RN. Start date: October 12, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
• Care for both mothers and their newborns after delivery.
• Monitor mothers in the hours following delivery, recognize postpartum depression, and teach coping strategies.
• Teach new parents how to care for, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle‑feed the newborn, and monitor infant health.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care Mother/Baby setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
