Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $2,650 per week
Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurses are needed at a healthcare facility located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. These positions involve providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients, including those requiring intubation, sedation, and titration of various drips. The role is scheduled for night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid license to submit
- BLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- 1 year of pediatric intensive care unit experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with intubated patients, sedation management, ICPs, EVDs, emergency procedures, and titration of cardiac, insulin, heparin, and sedation drips
Floating: Float to NICU if experienced; possible float to adult areas as an observer depending on census.
Additional Information: Unit has 8 beds with an average census of 4-5 patients. Nurse-to-patient ratio varies between 1:1 and 1:2. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, diabetic ketoacidosis, traumas, neuroseizures, overdoses, and surgical cases. The unit is equipped with ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, Nava, Vapotherm, and heliox. Self-scheduling is used with a tiered approach; every other weekend and holiday required; no call or standby duties. No nurse aids on this unit. Orientation includes one standard day of hospital orientation plus two days on the unit.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
