Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics OR - Operating Room - $2,290 per week

Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position involves providing specialized surgical care for pediatric patients within a children's acute care hospital setting.

About the role

The clinician will participate in a 12-hour day shift, supporting various surgical specialties with flexibility for float within scope as needed. This role involves assisting in various surgical procedures for pediatric patients, including neuro, ortho, plastics, eyes, GU/GI, ENT, general, small amount of GYN, spine, and some dental cases. No cardiac/vascular/thoracic cases for this position. The facility is a Children's Acute Care Hospital with a total of 16 staffed beds and 455 beds in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized surgical care for pediatric patients
• Float within scope to meet facility needs; may float to all pediatric surgical units and occasionally to ICU as RN Assist

Requirements

• Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• MO license required; license in hand required at time of submittal or must match permanent residence if using a compact license
• No minimum experience required
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in pediatric operating rooms
• Experience with trauma Level II patients

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
