Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $3,644 per week

About the role

We're looking for Pediatric RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Asheville, NC. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. As a Pediatric Travel Nurse, you will provide preventative and acute care to children and adolescents in all settings. Pediatric RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients of all ages and providing support to patients' family members.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Minimum 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
