About the role
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) needed for a pediatric and adolescent psychiatric facility in the Hampstead, New Hampshire region. The position is scheduled for night shifts only, with an immediate start date. The role involves providing specialized mental health care to a pediatric patient population, supporting treatment plans, and performing nursing duties under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. This is a full-time travel position with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care in a residential treatment setting.
Responsibilities
- Performs general or specialized nursing duties under the direction of the Nurse Manager in a pediatric/adolescent psychiatric care setting
- Utilizes the nursing process to administer medication and provide medical treatment
- Contributes to comprehensive treatment planning with team members
- Performs blood draws on pediatric and adolescent patients (phlebotomy experience required)
- Upholds the vision and mission of the organization through adherence to Practice Model theories, beliefs, and principles
Requirements
- New Hampshire (NH) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Pediatric Psych experience
- Phlebotomy experience (willing to perform blood draws on pediatric and adolescent patients)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- Minimum of 0 years of experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills
Schedule
- Night shift, 8 hours per shift
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
