Travel RN specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with responsibilities focused on monitoring and caring for patients requiring close assessment but not intensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care
• Stabilize cardiac patients
• Administer medications
• Manage specialized equipment
• Interpret electronic monitoring data
• Respond to adverse symptoms
• Perform procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertions, IV starts, and medication administration
• Monitor patient status continuously, adjusting treatments as needed
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain composure under stress and communicate effectively across diverse patient populations

Qualifications & Skills

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIH certifications (additional certifications may be required)
• Ability to interpret vital signs
• Ability to operate monitoring equipment
• Ability to manage complex medication regimens
• Adaptable
• Detail-oriented
• Able to respond swiftly to emergencies
• Physically capable of lifting and moving patients as necessary
