Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,347 per week

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Salem, Virginia. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and is a full‑time travel role (48 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Perform post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, and chest tube care.
• Provide care for post‑op surgical patients.
• Manage critical drips, epidurals, and patient‑controlled analgesia (PCA).

Requirements

• PCU experience.
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients.
• Proficiency with chest tube management and epidurals.
• Strong teamwork ability.
• Effective time management in high‑turnover patient environments.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with PCU specialty.
• Ability to float to ICU (taking PCU‑type patients), PCU, and Med‑surg units (up to 5 patients) with 36 hours available.
• Completion of a specialty‑specific assessment via HSH (ANCC‑accredited online competency platform) at time of submission.
