Job Details
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
- Unit may low census in 4-hour increments and could ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
- Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
- Care for patients including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
- Typical patient ratio of 1:4
Requirements
- 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience
- Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience
- Must be able to pass EKG test during the first week of hire
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
