Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,110 per week

About the role

Step Down Unit Nurse (Specialty: Step Down) night shift, located in the healthcare provider organization. This role involves providing high-quality care for patients with moderate to severe illness in a specialized unit, supporting patient recovery and stability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 26-bed intermediate care unit with a focus on conditions such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope
• Take charge of patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists and e-hospitalists
• Handle cardiopulmonary equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, and Vapotherm
• Float rotation expected to accommodate unit ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Orientation consists of one hospital shift and two unit shifts

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• No holiday or call requirements

Requirements

• Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting
• COVID-19 negative drug screen
• Compliance with employment requirements including last four digits of SSN and middle initial
