Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $3,080 per week

About the role

Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in an acute-care facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing specialized care to post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a teamwork-oriented environment during night shifts.

Schedule

• Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Minimum of 48 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting
• Care for patients with diagnoses including post-op cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and cardiac cath procedures
• Titrate drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, TPA, Lasix, and Dobutamine
• Float to sister units within the Heart and Vascular Institute as required

Requirements

• Active certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a cardiac/vascular care setting
• Valid nursing license; willing to wait to submit license
• BSN not required

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in step down or intermediate care units
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Previous successful cardiac or vascular care roles

Unit Details

• 32 private beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 in step down, 1:6 on the floor
• Staff includes unit charge nurses, house supervisors, and CMTs who interpret strips
• Equipment available: Cpap, Bipap, and Hi-flow respiratory support devices

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
