About the role
This position involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, nephrology concerns, strokes, and diabetes. The role demands critical thinking, effective communication, and a positive attitude to succeed in a fast-paced environment. A charge nurse is present on each shift, and nurse aides or patient care technicians are available. Onboarding includes 1-2 days of floor orientation.
Responsibilities
- Manage adult and geriatric patient care with diagnoses such as cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes
- Perform continuous EEG monitoring
- Titrate medications such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
- Valid nursing license
- Must be within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Submit candidate licensure and documentation
- RTO (Reason To Occur) requests limited to seven days or less per 13-week contract
