This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a stepdown and progressive care unit, focusing on patients with complex medical conditions. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills to manage diverse patient populations effectively. Job Details Position: Stepdown/Telemetry Registered Nurse Location: Henderson Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week Schedule: 12-hour days with every third weekend and every other holiday Qualifications: Current active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), minimum of 2 years of RN experience including one solid year of stepdown/PCU experience; recent EPIC charting experience required Responsibilities: Initiate and titrate insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips; manage patients with sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, and dementia; handle surgical urology, abdominal, and ortho cases; perform assessments, critical thinking, and timely interventions Preferred Skills: PIV insertion, stable home vents, chest tube management, CBI, blood product administration, continuous BiPap, drain management, neutropenic precautions Additional Information: May require precepting students and new hires; potential float to additional campuses within a short distance; unit has smaller patient census with experienced staff and excellent team dynamics Benefits The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include: Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID #1318265.
