Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,491 per week
About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and proactive travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Asheville, North Carolina. This is a 13-week travel position with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts (6:45pm–7:15am).
The unit (K7 PCU) has 44 beds and a staff of 95. Equipment includes IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts. The EMR system is Cerner.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include:
- Neuro and spinal checks
- C-Collar placement and TLSO braces
- Chest tube management
- PCA pump and IV infusions
- Lumbar drain care
- Feeding tube placement
- Blood transfusions
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit.
- Perform neuro and trauma care, including spinal checks, C-Collar placement, and chest tube management.
- Operate and manage equipment such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, and patient lifts.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care coordination.
Requirements
- 2+ years of current acute care PCU hospital experience.
- Experience with neuro and trauma care.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
