HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Unit information
- Location: Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, 4600 Spotsylvania Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA, 3rd floor
- Number of beds: 26
- Number of staff: 6–7 RNs scheduled per shift
- Staff by shift:
- Day shift – RN, PCT, Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Unit Secretary PRN, Tele Tech, Case Managers
- Night shift – RN, PCT, Tele Tech, Clinical Coordinator
- Patient ratios: Acuity based staffing (1:1, 1:2, occasional 1:3)
- Equipment: GE Telemetry, Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, Hill-Rom patient beds
- EMR: MediTech
Requirements
- 2 years recent PCU experience in a hospital setting
- Active VA license or compact license at submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with IV infusions of Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Milrinone, Cardazem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Lasix
- Experience with IVP Labetalol and Metoprolol
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with MediTech
- Willingness to work extra shifts
- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath recovery experience
Typical procedures
- Mid Line or PICC Line placement
Schedule
- Start date: September 7, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Floating areas
- MS (Medical-Surgical) and Surgical units
- Occasionally to ICU to care for PCU patients boarding in ICU
