Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,425 per week

Job Summary

The healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Step Down Unit in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves working in a 29-bed unit that is currently under construction, with all beds scheduled to be equipped as step down units by the first quarter of 2026. The RN will deliver care to a diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses, including both floor and step-down patients, based on patient and hospital needs. The position offers night shifts with a scheduled start date of 07/27/2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• EPIC electronic medical records experience
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling titrate drips such as Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbitol, ketamine, PCA medications (morphine, Dilaudid, Fentanyl), and TPN.
• Ability to read telemetry strips is essential, though RN can utilize centralized telemetry monitoring equipment.

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 3:1 on step down and 6:1 on the floor.
• Charge RNs and House Supervisors work 24/7, with a goal of having a free charge RN on duty.
• Nurse aides (Clinical Associates) are available with a ratio of 1:10.
• The unit is equipped with CPAP, BiPAP, HiFlow, and vents; vent settings are adjusted in ICU if necessary.

Additional Information

• The nurse may need to float to other floors or step-down units as required.
• Dress code allows any combination of royal blue and white.
• Orientation is specific to the unit, and scrub colors can be coordinated accordingly.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
