Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,400 per week

Job Summary

The position involves providing specialized patient care in a designated step down setting with a focus on post-operative and cardiac patients.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including day and night rotations, with weekends scheduled as part of the rotation.
• Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotate, weekends as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Licensure to submit;
• ACLS and BLS certifications;
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing patients with conditions including bradycardia, A-fib, CHF, NSTEMI, PVD, PE, CVA/TIA, and post-operative procedures such as lobectomy and chest tube management.
• RNs are required to titrate drips like Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin per ordered parameters.

Additional Information

• The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6 and utilizes Allscripts charting system.
• The orientation is 12-hour shifts with a preceptor.
• IV therapy is managed by an IV team, and the unit adheres to hospital policies including self-scheduling via a scheduling committee and a two-week rotation of days and nights if rotating.
