Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,376 per week

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week contract starting August 3, 2026, at a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Job Details
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday rotation required
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed; unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments and may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
- 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit; fast-paced with high patient turnover
- Patient conditions include post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
- Typical patient ratio of 1:4
- Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Scrub color: any color
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
- Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
- Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
- At least one prior travel assignment must have been completed
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
- Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Requirements
- Must be a registered nurse (RN)
- Must have a valid Wisconsin RN license
- Must have BLS certification
- Must have ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Must be able to pass an EKG test during the first week of hire
- Must have at least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- Must have at least 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience
- Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
- Must have at least one prior travel assignment completed
- Must have 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
