Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,075 per week

Job Summary

A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Overland Park, Kansas. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a Clinical setting. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
• At least 2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care or similar unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Epic electronic charting system and community hospital settings

Additional Information

• Must complete compliance documentation 2 Fridays prior to start date, including labs and modules.
• EPIC training must be completed first.
• Infusion pump and glucometer training required by the Sunday prior to start date.
• Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities, necessitating both Kansas and Missouri OR compact license in hand at time of submission.
• No local candidates within 75 miles accepted; only certain roles permitted local travel.
• Max of 7 days of turnaround time (RTO) allowed for the original offer, with approval required for longer requests.
• A 3-month break in service is required after 18 months of tenure; permanent employees across related organizations must wait 1 year before returning as travelers.
• BJC booking policies apply; mid-contract cancellations are not permitted.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
