Requirements

• Required License / Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of PCU experience (3 years preferred), Strong neuro/stroke experience required
• Patient Population: Stroke, Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), Neurosurgery overflow, Post-tPA (24-hour), Post-mechanical thrombectomy (24-hour), Frequent neurological monitoring
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4–1:6 (acuity-based), 2 CNAs per shift
• Required Skills: Neuro assessments, Phlebotomy, EKG rhythm interpretation, NG/Dobhoff tube placement, Port access, Heparin drips, Argatroban administration, Stable high-flow oxygen, BiPAP management, No titratable cardiac drips, Equipment: Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, Sara Stedy Arjo lifts, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Sapphire PCA pumps
