Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Des Moines, Iowa, requires a travel nurse to provide high-quality patient care, supervise healthcare team members, and ensure patient safety and well-being.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for CIRH only)
• Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience

Additional Information

• Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams
• Documents all assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning
• Provides supervision to ancillary staff
• Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training
• Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
