Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,295 per week

The organization is seeking a registered nurse for a neuro stepdown and epilepsy monitoring unit located in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care for higher acuity neuroscience patients, including stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical cases.
Job Details
Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Schedule: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Night shifts and scheduled weekends or holidays are required; occasional floating may be necessary to other units (7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W).
Required Qualifications
Valid license (must be willing to wait if not immediately available)
Covid-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated with Moderna, Pfizer, or J&J)
BLS Certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Minimum 2 years of neuro experience
EPIC electronic medical record experience
Experience caring for stroke patients
Implementing NIH protocols
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification preferred
Additional Information
Travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation.
Previous permanent candidates must be off for at least two years, and previous travelers who completed a full year are also ineligible to reapply immediately.
The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:3 for stepdown and 1:5-6 for EMU.
RT equipment (ventilators, C-PAP, BiPAP, etc.) is available 24/7, managed by respiratory therapy and physicians.
RN titration of drips is only performed under physician orders or established protocols.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
