Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,295 per week

About the role

A Stepdown RN will monitor patients who require frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough for critical care. Duties include monitoring vital signs, detecting changes in patient condition, administering medications, and providing hands-on care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and comfort
• Monitor and document vital signs
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Provide hands-on care as needed
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Skills

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR)
• Knowledge of stepdown unit protocols
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a start date of August 2, 2026, and a duration of 13 weeks.
