About the role

Join a supportive PCU/Telemetry team with a traveler-friendly environment, EPIC charting, and opportunities for first-time travelers! This 13-week contract offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts (days or nights).

Schedule

• 3x12s (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend rotation
• Block scheduling available if approved
• 36 guaranteed hours

Unit Details

• 42-bed PCU/Telemetry service across two units
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 (Days & Nights)
• Charge nurses available on each unit
• PCT support available
• EMR: EPIC
• Philips cardiac telemetry monitoring

Patient Population

• Chest pain & elevated troponins
• Pre/Post cardiac catheterization
• Post-STEMI recovery
• NSTEMI
• Pacemaker patients
• CHF and cardiac medical patients
• Oncology overflow
• Post-operative orthopedic patients
• Peritoneal dialysis (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac medication management
• Care of cardiac patients
• Management of Bipap, CPAP & High-Flow Oxygen (with RT support)

Requirements

• Active RN License
• AHA BLS & ACLS required
• First-time travelers welcome
• EPIC experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
