Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,185 per week
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in Thornton, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for post-operative and cardiac patients within a state-of-the-art unit. The RN will work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, supporting a variety of patient populations including orthopedics, spine, GYN surgeries, and cardiology procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for post-operative and cardiac patients in a Progressive Care Unit.
- Support patient populations including orthopedics, spine, GYN surgeries, and cardiology procedures.
- Work night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) in a state-of-the-art unit with advanced equipment.
- Participate in float rotation as required.
Requirements
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PCU experience.
- Colorado nursing license or compact license.
- No minimum experience requirement other than current acute care experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Cardiac experience.
- Preferred: Prior Meditech EMR experience.

- Unit Features: New, state-of-the-art equipment including ADA/Bari rooms with Hoyer lifts (x2).
- Patient Care: Post-op recovery from surgeries and cath labs, stroke, renal failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac drips at a set rate.
- Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling process allowing scheduling over three weeks in advance with flexibility for trade requests.
