Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,148 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in a progressive care unit setting.
• Document patient care using Meditech-HCA version.
• Manage medications using WOW with med drawers and Pyxis ES dispensing system.
• Schedule and float between various medical-surgical units as needed.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs.
• Manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Participate in bedside and hourly rounding, checking the 5P’s.
• Report to PCT’s of known needs at the start and during shifts.
• Utilize the hospital’s scrolling video kiosk and email for updates.

Requirements

• A current, active, unrestricted license to practice as an RN in any state.
• Current ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
• Experience with chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs.

Qualifications

• Cardiac knowledge preferred.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Advanced skills in managing drips and performing procedures.
• Familiarity with hospital-specific documentation systems and equipment.
