Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,120 per week

Job Summary

Step Down Unit Nurse position located in Prescott, Arizona. This role involves providing care within a specialized step-down setting that includes post-cardiac, post-procedural, and geriatric patient populations. The position requires adherence to facility protocols and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours minimum per week
• Start date: 08/10/2026
• Every other weekend and first to float
• Shifts scheduled from days to nights as needed
• No call or standby responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a step-down or similar acute care setting
• Experience with post-cardiac patients
• Proficiency managing titratable drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Geriatric and ortho patient populations
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems such as Cerner
• Ability to interpret cardiac strips

Additional Information

• Clinicians must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract
• The unit utilizes nurse aids and a team-based approach
• ICU-level equipment such as BiPAP and heated high-flow devices are available, with tele monitoring in place
• The unit employs a self-scheduling system, with schedules released six weeks in advance
