About the Role
Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Farmington, New Mexico. This position offers a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on a night shift (1900-0730), 12-hour shifts, and no weekly call requirements.
The facility is recognized among the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. and is located in the scenic San Juan River Valley, offering outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing. Farmington is an affordable and friendly community with easy access to Durango, CO (1 hour drive) and Albuquerque, NM (3 hours drive).
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the PCU, specializing in Cardiology and Intermediate Care (IMC).
- Float to other units as needed, including PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5 in PCU/IMC or 1:5-6 in MedTele.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation.
Requirements
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IMC or Cardiology (2 years preferred).
