About the role
TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Olathe, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Maintain and interpret specialized equipment used on patients.
- Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
- Perform tasks requiring standing and walking for long periods, bending, leaning, and stooping.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, coping with stress and relating to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Skills

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours, nights.
