Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,027 per week

Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 21-week assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. The position requires one year of recent Stepdown RN experience, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and PCCN certification preferred.

Requirements

• One year recent Stepdown RN experience
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Prior Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. They should be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language, comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills.

Essential Work Functions

• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Notifies supervisor or physician of patient's cardiac status and response to interventions
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and client
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
