Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,985 per week

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Charleston, West Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a specialized unit, supervising other nursing staff, and ensuring patient safety and recovery. The RN fosters a collaborative care environment and actively participates in patient education and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Develop individualized care plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary team conferences
• Ensure accurate documentation, discharge planning, and patient education
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel
• Maintain safety and quality care standards
• Maintain open communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities following orientation
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control
• Foster team collaboration

Requirements

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift
• Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only)
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience
• Educational requirements consistent with current nursing standards
• West Virginia nursing license

Float rotation may be required.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• 13-week duration, starting 08/24/2026

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
