Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,645 per week

Job Summary

The healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Step Down (Progressive Care) nurse for a night shift assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patient populations with conditions such as respiratory failure, arrhythmias, sepsis, and other acute illnesses. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing complex patient needs on a step-down unit and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications;
• Oklahoma or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission;
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a step-down or telemetry unit;
• Experience with charting systems such as Epic;
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous charge nurse experience,
• Community hospital experience,
• and patient ratio experience of 4:1 nights and weekends.

Additional Information

• The assignment involves managing respiratory and cardiac patients, including ventilated patients, with procedures such as cardioversion, groin site management, and use of special equipment like Bi-Pap, wound vac, and TR band.
• Candidates should be comfortable with interventions such as arterial line management, blood product administration, and telehealth monitoring.
