Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,535 per week

About the role

Provide patient care in a 24‑bed progressive care unit specializing in medical trauma in Kingwood, TX. Start date: 10/26/2026; duration: 13 weeks. Deliver high‑quality nursing services in a collaborative environment, supporting recovery and stabilization of adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult trauma patients in a PCU setting.
• Administer medications and perform RN assessments and reassessments.
• Manage thoracentesis, chest tubes, and care of patients post heart catheterization.
• Document care using Meditech Expanse electronic medical records.
• Perform standard nursing skills and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Maintain a friendly, positive, patient‑centered, team‑focused, and calm demeanor.
• Adhere to dress code (Royal Blue scrubs) and participate in float rotation as required.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IMU/PCU.
• Current license to practice in Texas.

Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech Expanse EMR.
• Experience with thoracentesis and chest tube management.
• Medication administration and RN assessments/reassessments.
• Care of patients post heart catheterization.
• Standard nursing skills and electronic health record documentation.
• Ability to work in a team‑focused, patient‑centered environment.
