Requirements

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute‑care PACU setting
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients as they awaken from surgery until discharge to outpatient care or transfer to the floor.
• Provide care for post‑operative patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia.
• Treat both in‑patients and out‑patients according to their individual needs.
• Deliver diligent care through continuous monitoring, assessment, intervention, and reassessment.
