Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,380 per week

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico. Start Date: 10/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks (ending 01/02/2027). Shift: 10‑hour days, 4 days per week (minimum 40 hours/week).

About the role

Post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) Nurse in a clinical setting responsible for providing high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role involves performing pain procedures, pre-operative assessments, and managing patient recovery in the OR and PACU environments. The position requires the ability to float between locations as needed and to work independently within established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for post‑operative patients
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and caregivers
• Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred)
• BLS certification via AHA required
• RN license in state of employment or compact
