Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,270 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care position in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The assignment is for 12 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post‑operative patients recovering from surgical anesthesia.
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 3 years of recent acute care experience (note: posting also mentions 1‑2 years recent acute care experience)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
