The role involves caring for patients during post-operative recovery, including measuring vital signs, monitoring incision sites, and assessing patient stability. Candidates should demonstrate critical care skills and have experience in emergency or intensive care settings. Job Details Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. Shift types include Days, Evenings, Nights, and weekends/holidays, with shifts varying between units such as PACU and Ambulatory Surgery Unit. On-call shifts may occur 0-3 times per month, including 8-hour night shifts and 24-hour weekend/holiday coverage. Required Qualifications: Valid professional license within the state of practice. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association. Future or current Hawaii State licensure may be necessary before contract start date. Experience includes at least 2 years as a critical care registered nurse (i.e., emergency room or intensive care unit) in a hospital setting, with substitute experience in related clinical areas acceptable. Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association is recommended and may be required for certain positions. Additional certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC are preferred and may be required. Additional Information: Candidates must arrive by Thursday prior to the start date to attend employee health appointments scheduled for the following Friday. Candidates unable to meet this schedule should not accept the start date. Flu vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption documentation will be required before contract commencement.
