About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a travel nurse RN for a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota. Start date: October 26, 2026; duration: 13 weeks; schedule: 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts, days, nights, flexible).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patients as they wake from surgery until discharge to outpatient or transfer to the floor.
• Provide care for post‑operative patients recovering from general, regional, or local anesthesia, serving both inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment to ensure diligent care.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PACU setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
