About the role
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a rotating shift environment. The position involves providing specialized peri-anesthesia care to diverse patient populations, with an emphasis on ICU experience. The role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, delivering vigilant pre- and post-operative care across a range of surgical and medical specialties.
Job Details
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
The main PACU unit includes 28 bays and provides 24/7 peri-anesthesia care for patients across the lifespan, treating a broad spectrum of acuity. Nurses must be skilled in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration, and fluid resuscitation. Floating to other units within scope is required. Candidates should be comfortable with on-call shifts and working during holidays and weekends.
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact State nursing license
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience
- 2 years patient ratio experience
- 2 years of ICU or PACU experience preferred

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
