Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,035 per week

Job Summary

The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a position in Winchester, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting post-operative recovery and monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia.

Responsibilities

The position is scheduled for daytime hours, with a focus on delivering compassionate, efficient care to a diverse patient population. The RN will be working in an on-campus surgery center with a 16-bed capacity, supporting unit-specific patient ratios of 2:1, and providing care for geriatrics and other patient groups. The role may require assisting sister units as needed, with adherence to dress code policies (navy scrubs).

Schedule

Day shift, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., minimum of 36 hours per week. The position involves working one weekend per month, with some holiday coverage preferred, specifically Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On-call responsibilities include one weekend per month from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in Pre-Operative, Post-Operative, and PACU nursing with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system experience
• VA or Compact State nursing license
• Certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in titrating drips, TAVR procedures, and managing cardiac to procedural cases preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
