TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, with an immediate opening. Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post‑operative patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years as noted)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients
• Good stress‑coping skills
• Ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds
