About the role

The OR cares for a wide variety of patients. Specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, orthopedic, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center). There are 2 Davinci robots that are used by multi-services. The transplant program involves livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Schedule

• 12-hour rotating shifts
• Rotating D/E/N (Day/Evening/Night) schedule

Requirements

• Active NY state RN license (no other states accepted)
• Two (2) years operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• Able to scrub and circulate
• Telemetry experience highly desired

Qualifications

• BLS (American Heart Association only) – required
• ACLS – preferred

Preferred Surgical Experience

• Specialty cases (transplants, plastics, reconstructive)
• Craniotomy
• Strong orthopedic background
