Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $3,295 per week

Operating Room Nurse (OR) position in Lamar, Colorado. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care within a surgical environment, including surgical suites, post-anesthesia care unit, and pre-operative areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and document care
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Coordinate patient transfers
• Recover patients post-surgery
• Circulate cases in the operating room
• Assist with processing instruments and equipment
• Prepare patients for surgery
• Educate patients on perioperative care
• Adhere to infection control principles and national standards (IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, ASPAN)
• Report directly to the Surgical Services Manager or designee

Requirements

• Current Colorado RN licensure
• 3 years of pre-operative, operating room, or post-anesthesia care unit experience (preferred)
• ACLS certification (required)
• CNOR certification and scrub experience (highly preferred)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Capability to lift heavy objects
• Exposure to blood and body fluids
• Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations
• Strong communication skills

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts, days (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional late days to complete surgical case loads)
• 40 hours per week minimum
• 13-week assignment starting 09/07/2026

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
