Job Details
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Duration: 4 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, days (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM per shift notes)
- Work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weeknight call requirement of 1 night per week whenever cases end until 6:30 AM the following day
- Weekend call requirement: Friday 6:30 PM through Monday 6:30 AM, every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Call response time of 30 minutes required
- On-call team consists of 1 RN, 1 Tech, and CRNA
- Charting system: Cerner EMR
- Gray scrubs required, provided by the facility
- Up to 4 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation including cataracts training
- May occasionally float to ED, MS, or LTC depending on comfort level
- Must clock in and out at the facility
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Must have experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics including total joints, and Robotics
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
- BSN not required
Preferred Qualifications
- GI experience preferred
- Scrubbing preferred but not required

Facility Information
This acute care facility operates a fully equipped surgical department featuring 6 OR suites and 2 GI suites, averaging 12 cases per day. The department handles a diverse range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, robotic, general surgery, and pediatric cases, supported by OR technicians and a charge nurse focused on department management. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system and maintains a Trauma Level 4 designation.
