This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a high-level surgical environment. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams across multiple specialties, adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining patient safety before, during, and after surgical procedures. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification, current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois, and at least 3 years of OR nursing experience. Schedule: Rotating shifts, including night, day, and evening hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts include 8 hours with various start times such as 0645, 1045, 1445, and 1100-1930, 1445-2315 or 2245-0715. Additional Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, assisting in surgical procedures across general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic specialties. Scrubbing required for surgical cases, with 1-2 surgical techs per patient and 3-4 CNAs on days. Additional Information: Active Illinois RN licensure or confirmation of application process; the candidate must understand that OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and is required to produce a negative drug screen. Unit orientation is 1 week. Submission Requirements: Last four digits of SSN, confirmation of Illinois licensure, and understanding of the policy on requested time off.
