About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Operating Room (OR) unit. This is a seasonal travel position with a duration of 13 weeks, requiring 40 hours per week on a 10-hour evening shift (2:30 PM - 1 AM).
Unit Information
- Location: Wesley Medical Center, 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214
- Number of Beds: 28
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: DaVinci Robotics (SI, XI, and Mako)
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
Typical procedures performed: Orthopedics, GYN, General, Urology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Plastics, Dental, Eyes, Pediatrics, Spine, Neuro, Trauma, TAVR, MAKO, DaVinci.
Best personality fit: Prioritizes patient care experience and excels in communication with staff and providers.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN hospital experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with DaVinci Robotics
- Ortho, neurology, and vascular experience
- Prior Meditech experience
Schedule
- Shift: 10-hour evenings (2:30 PM - 1 AM)
- Flexible scheduling options: 4-10s or 3-12s
- On-call requirements: 1 late night per week, 1 working 8-hour Saturday every 4th week, 1-8hr call shift per month on Saturday or Sunday
- 30-minute response time for on-call shifts
